Quand vous êtes junior en agences, que vous débarquez au sein d'une régie, bref quand la goutte de lait vous pend au menton, ce n'est pas un luxe de découvrir les principales associations qui rythment la vie de notre secteur. Et pour ceux et celles qui ont de la bouteille, une piqure de rappel ne peut pas faire de tort. En fait, c'est assez simple. Tout a commencé avec PUB, lancé en 1976 par Josephine Overeem. Enfin pour être honnête ce n'est pas tout-à-fait exact. Car la première association à avoir vu le jour n'est autre que l'UBA, née en 1949 ! Ensuite, tout s'est mis en place, petit à petit. Et notre média, en toute modestie, a souvent joué un rôle constructif. Ainsi les CBA, nés sur les cendres des CCB Awards, ont pour origine le PUB Award. Un prix créé par notre magazine avant que celui-ci décide de le céder au jeune club de créatifs, le CCB (Creative Club of Belgium) qu'il a porté sur les fonds baptismaux en 1983. Naturellement, nous n'allons pas vous fatiguer à travers un historique fleuve. Chaque association, club, union... a une histoire. Et comme il n’est pas toujours simple de s’y retrouver parmi toutes ces initiales et autres acronymes, nous vous proposons une radiographie des principaux acteurs du secteur. Plongez-vous dans ce tableau basé sur des données qui nous ont été transmises en toute « transparence »  par les associations sous mentionnées.

 

Allemaal bij de club?

 

Als je als junior in een bureau zit, als je pas bij een managementbedrijf arriveert, kortom als de druppel melk aan je kin hangt, is het geen luxe om de belangrijkste associaties te ontdekken die het leven in onze sector bepalen. En voor degenen onder jullie die een fles hebben, kan een flashback geen kwaad. In feite is het heel eenvoudig. Het begon allemaal met PUB, gelanceerd in 1976 door Josephine Overeem. Nou, om eerlijk te zijn, dat is niet helemaal juist. Want de eerste vereniging die geboren is, is wellicht de UBA, geboren in 1949! Toen werd alles op zijn plaats gezet, beetje bij beetje. En onze media hebben, in alle bescheidenheid, vaak een constructieve rol gespeeld. Zo is de CBA, geboren uit de as van de CCB, ontstaan uit de PUB Award. Een prijs die door ons tijdschrift werd gecreëerd voordat het besloot om het over te dragen aan de jonge creatieve club, de CCB (Creative Club of Belgium), die het in 1983 een naam gaf. Natuurlijk zullen we je niet vermoeien aan de overkant van een historische rivier. Elke vereniging, club, bond... heeft een geschiedenis. En omdat het niet altijd gemakkelijk is om uw weg te vinden door al initialen en andere acroniemen, bieden wij u een röntgenfoto aan van de belangrijkste spelers in de sector.
