Van Facebook naar Twitter
Twitter versterkt zijn directiecomité en raad van beheer Bret Taylor, voormalig chief technology officer van Facebook. Helemaal in de stijl van zijn nieuwe werkgever tweette die al een opgewonden tweet naar de buitenwereld: "Excited to join @twitter's board. Twitter is one of the most important services in the world, and I'm thrilled to be able to work with @jack."
Bret Taylor is momenteel ceo van de starter Quip. Bij Facebook werd hij chief technology officer toen het FriendFeed kocht, een sociaal netwerk dat hij mee oprichtte in 2007. Tijdens zijn afwisselende carrière ontwikkelde hij onder meer Google Maps bij Alphabet. Daar superviseerde hij voorts de introductie van de developer product group.
